Not only did I pick the right team, but remember the square I picked earlier? It won me $40.

I love to sportz!

  1. Just to clarify, you actually didn't pick a team (if you remember picking a team, that would be pretty funny by itself). You chose a square which was then by random chance assigned two numbers, one to be the last digit of each team's score.

By buying one of a hundred squares, you had a one in a hundred chance of winning. That was until the numbers were assigned and you drew a one and a five. Victory became all the more unlikely as five is rarely the last digit in a football score. That is unless a team kicks five field goals (15) or five touchdowns (30) with five extra points (5). And even those scores are quite rare.

Alas, three touchdowns (18), a field goal (3), two extra points (2) and the rare two point conversion (2) did just the trick and you pulled off one of the more impressive upsets in the history of sportz.

  2. I just re-read this and I misunderstood what you wrote at first. Still, you're a lucky son of a bitch. Has anyone ever said that to you?
